Waldemar A. Dabrowski

One of the most distinctive contemporary artists. This artist has been creating his works of art for decades. His intriguing talent allows him to explore and execute extraordinary series of art styles and trends evolving from realism through surrealism (1973 -1983 ), in the course of his creative adventure in the tapestry sphere (1973 - 1979 ), and finally generating an array of expressionist art collections completed between 1986 and present time.

He continues his artistic journey today as a devoted artist on a larger scale, deriving his creations from contacts with surrounding world elements and events, spiritual inspirations, encounters, visions, and private memories.

Having achieved his Master's Degree in Fine Arts, he developed his unique style offering striking compositions rendered with tones of expressionist hues, coupled with abstract devices producing vigorous, engaging works, which comment on human activities, moods, emotions and attitudes.

He has dedicated his time and efforts to studying and analyzing varieties of artworks and their masters. Bright colours and bold, tactical lines distinguish his creations. His subjects reflect recognizable demeanour and his employment of universal artifices make his art approachable and yet controversial.

The motions of hands and legs symbolize human body communication and language and the myriad of objects attracting the works central figures allow the viewers to participate in the freedom and liberty to begin exploring and contemplating their ideas as well as the work itself.

The artist's ability to infuse energy into his works of art is indicative of exceptional discipline and much practice. He chooses his colours and media with the intent of complementing and reinforcing his ideas. Artistic content, technique, and the ability to stimulate viewer interests and emotions reflect a strong connective bond with his works audience.

His palettes of rich and profusely contrasting hues evoke the nature of expression. Delicate outlines intertwine with strong delineating dark contours where the definition of silhouettes are required.
His graceful and delicate strokes of colour meet with abrupt, contrasting lines and forms. The harmony of expressive strokes throughout the paintings superbly reflects his passion and his inner connection with the subjects.

His art was exhibited and awarded in American and European galleries.

In the coming months, Waldemar will present a series of advanced expressionist paintings defining his perception of the world events and occurrences, episodes and chapters, as a chronicle and testimony to our modern, human activity and co-existence.
